The Reddy Kilowatt Hour
From Beautiful Downtown Merrifield in the shadow of the Mosaic District, it’s the Reddy Kilowatt Hour, presented Thursdays at 9 pm ET on Radio Fairfax (Fairfax, Virginia). Hosted by a washed-up college DJ that is demonically possessed by a discredited cartoon spokesman for the electric industry. Reddy J Kilowatt is your rock and roll servant, featuring alt-rock, progressive rock, soul, occasional punk rock, deep tracks, forgotten classics, and brand new, angst-ridden favorites. Inspired by the great FM stations and DJs of the 70s and 80s who played whatever they felt like, along with the old AM radio energy of the late 60s - early 70s. There's still great new music out there and we play it in the context of the whole history of both rock and roll. #rock #roll #radio #reddykilowatt #alternative #progressive #whfs #wmms #wxrt #wlir #kroq #wmse #kcrw #cklw #worldsoldestcollegedj #radiofairfax

SPEAKER_02So much for Britain. Badlocks never been there. And now I know that money comes in. But the fact is it's not enough to pay my Jacksons and I can't cry anymore. Well, I got a brother. He's got real problems.
SPEAKER_09So much today. It's never ended.
SPEAKER_02I could have missed my color. Sometimes it hurts, but when you read the writing on the wall, can't cry anymore. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a bike to anywhere?
SPEAKER_09So long to this light. So much for pretending.
SPEAKER_02And so much time I've been spending. I can't cry anymore. I can't cry anymore. I can't cry anymore. I can't cry anymore. I can't cry anymore.
SPEAKER_00You know what? I can't cry anymore. That's Earl Crow. Nineteen ninety-four. Are we winning yet? This is the twenty twenty-fourth single by the London-based rock man middle man. It's on an EV called John Villinger Died for You. This is a song called Morning All the Time.
SPEAKER_09Seems to me that it's good. I'll be waiting just to say something. So that's the only way to do it. What's the long for whatever was sea? Like you're swimming for the first time and the water feels too. Like a coin in an open hand. There's always two sides. Take me down to the mighty sides where it's more time. When you spring in the makeup, it's down the punches on the ground. Still that's what it's supposed to be.
SPEAKER_08When you need to get alone, because you may desire that's the time to get me running, and you know I'll be right. I'm a fool to do your dirty work. Oh yeah. I don't wanna do your dirty work no more. I'm a fool to do your dirty work. Oh yeah. Light the candle, put the lock upon the door. You have sent the maid home early, like a thousand times before, like the castle in his corner, in a medieval game. I foresee terrible trouble, and I stay here just the same.
SPEAKER_09I'm a fool to do your dirty work. Oh yeah. I don't wanna do your dirty work no more. I'm a fool to do your dirty work. Oh yeah. I'm a fool to do your dirty work, oh yeah. I don't wanna do your dirty work, no more. I'm a fool to do your dirty work, oh yeah. I don't wanna do your dirty work, no more. I'm a fool to do your dirty work, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's Steely Dan from their first album, Can't Buy a Thrill, we heard Dirty Work. The singer on that was not Donald Fagan, who was a backup singer on that one. The lead singer on that one was David Palmer, who was brought in as a lead singer, since Donald Fagan really at the beginning wasn't comfortable being a lead singer, or he wasn't sure he could be a lead singer. That didn't last very long. David Palmer became well known for co-writing one of Harold Haney's figure. In January, before that we heard it. We heard it. We heard the radio. This is a man called L. From Bloomington, Indiana, who have released three single so far. This is a song called Real Show.
SPEAKER_09The same thing. So what is business? It's a hurt you to hurt you. When we are put in the dance, every pressure now dance forever. We're mad and everything. Plug it in and turn it on. Satch O mention every year. We get one every year. Imagine every year.
SPEAKER_00Imaginary Fields Forever. Their last album, it is actually their last album. It's called Long Market for the Jazz A. The last album recorded by the way in 2022. The album dedicated to his memory. Anyway, this is a song called Latheron, the honey.
SPEAKER_07Get up the money, I don't be shadow. Give up the money, I need that. Give up the money, honey, don't be shack. Give up the money, I need the back of it on the back. Give up the money, honey, don't be shack.
SPEAKER_04Hey, the link, I'm back and I'm sailing on a ship. I'm the king of red lion. Yo, I don't give a shit. There's one thing I'll learn from you that's even slam. That's all I really need is a sword and heal in my hand. But look over there. That sign says beware. A giant pit, no one can jump your cat through the air. You'll need a special item to get through that mood. But what do I know, right? I'm just a fucking boat. Alright. Shit. Okay, I can maybe pick up one or two things I'm away. But as far as I'm concerned, all I need is sword blade. Shut your fucking elf mouth and take my items, okay? Your quest is done, and no good is terrible.
SPEAKER_09The path is dark. You broken me the boot is dead. New lies are sped.
SPEAKER_04A bow and arrow ice and a skeleton key. And a second place trophy from a local spelling bee. A candle with the handle and a single vocal handle. Is a single court order for a drug-related standard? No, all these items are in my back. It's a lot. A giant user two tip. A really small cruise chip. A parent signature for a Disneyland school trip. Document the proof of the moon landing was a hoax. And a legendary sacred hidden gold call of Bar Joke. It's uncontrol the tip maker. Just a few more things and you're ready to go. Your grandma's glass eyeball, 80 pounds of drywall. And every single item from the mark issue of skyball? A vegan costume maker. The wrestler undertaker. An unnumber of crutches in a family of Quakers. A basket of muffins. A turkey with the stuff. A pillow that needs a lot of society of puppets. A press on open box of brace quality potato sacks. Oh my god, I absolutely cannot carry one more thing. Don't you worry, all the facts is the piece of thing. This is exactly why I also packed a spinal surgeon. I hate you both.
SPEAKER_06I don't know why. I can see why you see I can do you now and see you. I can't hear you, can't give me you. I don't know why I can see you while you see.
SPEAKER_00Doing a song called Cannibal Forecast. Related to the album Heaven was wild. Before that we heard Starbucks, a boy and his boat. It's an American comedy duo. Dan Abbadan and Ryan Wick were part of a group called Ninja Facts Hardy. And they joined a fortunate with internet personality, I guess, the way they describe Erin Hans. One of the resident rapper. Video game hurdy. And the album went in 2019. It was their third album recorded in the middle of the day. We started with a Canadian single. But I think he's gonna be playing with a man of the record. Ladder on the honey of the album. Ladder on the honey of the name of the band. Close mine from hell. You're listening to the ready killing hour. We're going to take it to the top of the hour now. We're gonna do a little bit of soul now to close out the evening. This is a band from Seattle, Washington called The Jaws of Brooklyn. The song Where Are You?

You and I we dance on creatures, you and I'll be sure seekers, you and I are moving to stay high. Stay there, stay there, I'll meet you in the dark. As you fall down, stay here, stay here, meet me in your heart. Where are you? Where are you?
