From beautiful downtown Merryfield in the Shadow of the Mosaic District, it's the Ready Kilowatt Hour on Radio Fairfax. This evening, an action-packed show. How about Lana Del Rey? Finally meeting James Bond, Arnold Guthrie, or Art O'Gutherie, Arnold O'Parks, goes dancing. We go into space with the Freddie Jones band. Some new tunes from Hayter, the main Windsor, electric guest, Ripe, and the Last Dinner Party, and a person who goes by his full name, Craig Benedict Valentine Badanay. Just call him CBVB and lots and lots more. For now, happy birthday to Bob Dylan! His birthday is on Sunday, and he's gonna be 85 years old. This is Masters of War.

SPEAKER_06

Come, you Masters of War. Hear the bill of the big guns. Hear the bill of death planes. Hear the bill of the bombs. Here hide behind the wall. I just don't want you to know I can see through your mass. You that never done nothing. What the bill to destroy. You play with my world like it's your little toy. You put a gun in my hand, and you hide from my eyes. When the fast bullets fly, like a judicious old. You lie in deceive. A world war can be won. You want me to believe? But I see through your eyes. And I see through your brain. Like I see through the water that runs down my drain. He fastened all the triggers for the others to fire. And then you set back in wood. When death count gets higher, you hide in your mansion while the young people's blood flows out of their bodies and is buried in the mud. He's thrown the worst fear that can ever be hurled. Fear to bring children into the world. Oh threatening my baby. Unborn and unnamed. You ain't worth the blood that runs in your veins. How much do I know? What's a talk how to turn? You must say that I'm young. You might say I've unlearned. But there's a one thing I know. I'm younger than you. Let me ask you one question. Is your money that good? Or will it buy your forgiveness? Do you think that it could? I think you will find when your death takes its toll. All the money you made will never buy back your soul. And I hope that you die. And your death will come soon. I follow your casket on a pale afternoon. I watch while you're lord down to your deathbed. And I'll stand over your grave, and I'm sure that you're dead.

SPEAKER_09

Blackmail wants a green five. Blackmail, Blackmail. I know the science can't come. I know science can be a just as well as well.

SPEAKER_08

Oh well, just as well.

SPEAKER_01

The song is called Landslide. New album called Mosquito Hater. Trio from Sweden. The first record in four years. They don't actually sound like they hate anybody. Before that we heard CBV, Greg Benedict Valentine Anony! That's his whole name. Originally out of Detroit, eventually moved to Chicago to have a normal job in a family life for about 20 years or so. Running songs over the years of particular thing was called Blackmailer, Blackmailer from an Eevee called Euros do an amateur. We started out with Mm-Hillin'! Doing amateurs of war! 1963 Albion Freewheeling! That was before he started going electric! He is going to be Edwin. July 24th and 25th. Imagine what he sounds like. There I said it. I don't think I'm gonna do that again. But uh good evening to you, I'm ready to kill it, your rock and roll servant. I am the master of no one's domain, let alone my own. But I am glad to have you along with us tonight. Electric guest is a band out of LA, they've been around for quite a while. They had an album called 10K that was out not long ago. We are going to do a new song from them, and it's called ETR.

unknown

Hmm.

SPEAKER_04

Played with your money, paid for the mill, but they brought you nothing. Chain saw a buzzin', big piece of pie until they cut it. Some people just lucky, but the hand on your back makes you feel like a puppet again. Again. Play with your money, tap this one, you swim like a bucket. Swim like a turkey, but the boss is a little bit more. So that's it, but just a sweet stuff.

SPEAKER_07

And I slept in a car. When down to the car's load, someone broke in my car. And I'll search the world over. For my angel in black. For a Euro trash girl, took the train down to Athens, and I slept in a fountain. Some Swiss junkie and turret ripped me off for my cash. Yes, search the world open for my angel in black. Yes, search the world open for a Euro trash road the ARS on the Metro Shook me down for a prize on my knees for the sergeant when my passport arise. I said I'm down to my last. She said I sent you to college. Now go call your dad and the waitress that he married. Well she hung up the phone. You know she never did like me, but I can stand on my own. Sold my plasma in Amsterdam, spend it all in the night, buying drinks at the milk bed for a soldier in draft. And I'll search the world over for my angel in black. Yeah, search the world over for a Euro trash.

SPEAKER_09

Euro trash Euro trash.

SPEAKER_07

Got a tattoo in Berlin and a case of the crabs, a rose and a dagger on the palm of my hand, and I'll search the world over for my angel in life. Yes, search the world over for a Euro trash.

SPEAKER_01

What can I say, Cracker? One of my absolute favorite fans. On June 12th, they're gonna be at one of my favorite venues, the State Theater in Falls Church. Cracker doing Euro Trash Girl from Gosh, I think it was Keratine Head. It was like their their second album. Cracker originally from Redlands, California, where David Lowry led Camper Van Beethoven. He and his childhood buddy Johnny Hickman would move to Richmond, Virginia, of all places to start their new band, Cracker, in 1990. They're performing as a quartet at this time. They've had as many as you have any members at a time. But uh Lowry and Hickman still a core part of the band. Before that we heard electric yet from LA ETR-related single. You and I are listening to the world famous Reddy Kill One Hour coming to you, live from the studios of Radio Carefacts, a service of Fairfax Public Access, and the everything dignified Fairfax, Virginia. If you have any comments or requests, or just want to love us, come visit us on our Facebook, Instagram, or technology pages, or drop me a line at readykradio at gmail.com. I am the lightly elevated Ready James.

SPEAKER_05

Come, all you beasts of the forest, come and devour, all you beasts of the field. Come all you beasts of the forest, come and devour.

SPEAKER_03

Come and devour, come and devour mad like cherries. Sweet I'm a big dog.

SPEAKER_09

On a scale of the pain of watching you win through the chain like fans. Here's pretty skin. Be afraid of the hound. I am hunting you down.

SPEAKER_03

I'm behind you, I'm a big deal, no protection.

SPEAKER_09

I'm a big dog. My food bleed from bouncing. I'm the brother, man. Big dog. I make my sets feel like the flood, I'm the rain that'll wash this away. Couple the streets, my little skin.

SPEAKER_03

Get the master of pain with the red pointed shoes. Won't by Catherine Great. Said I petrify you. Cause I'm putting on weight. Who's the real ghost ringer?

SPEAKER_09

Who's beneath my little finger? I'm above you, I'm no musty rabbit ribbon, I'm a big dog. I have a baby spirit, my choice. I skipped Don't take your clothes off when you're famous. What sort of thing is there to say to child? Don't quite open you could defend that.

SPEAKER_03

Sweet man like cherries.

SPEAKER_01

The last dinner party, big dog. Quite a bit different than the stuff on their first two albums. And uh they are getting wickedly popular. They were playing clubs like they had been the first couple times they were touring. In April, uh they were at the Anthem in DC. They're gonna be playing arenas throughout the fall, single dates uh at different arenas around the country, but not in the DC area. But then January February, things get interesting. In January, they have sold out ten nights in LA at the Intuit Dome, which is where I think the LA Galaxy soccer team plays. And then in February, they have sold out ten dates at the Barclay Center, the arena in Brooklyn, New York. So that's a study in a band quickly getting very huge. Before that, we heard the main. The main is not from Maine, they're out of Tempe, Arizona, they're a five piece. They've been around actually for a couple of decades. Their new album is Join Next Door. We heard Alone for a Year. We started out with a Freddie Jones band from their 1992 album, Waiting for the Night, in a daydream, which was a big hit for them back then. They are from Chicago, and in case you were wondering, there's never been anyone in the band named Freddie Jones. Uh but the Artemis 2 astronauts on Thursday woke up in the morning to that song. So very, very cool. Happy a dream to uh be a musician, have a hit record, and then 20 years later have astronauts wake up to your music. You're listening to the Ready Kildawatt Hour on Radio Fairfax, Windsor. This is a single from an solo artist that's out of Santa Cruz, California. I think he lives in LA now. His debut album came out last year. This is his latest. It's called Better Left Unsaid.

SPEAKER_09

I think it's time for me to break away.

SPEAKER_08

I don't want to cost you pain. I don't wanna waste my time. Maybe it was better than I don't say. Maybe I believe in you on this shy It was better to dance It was better to dance It's not enough room in this restaurant The two of us to have what we both want Simultaneous Research You don't wanna waste my time Maybe I believe in you on red shy to think it was best

SPEAKER_09

It was better to dance.

unknown

It was better.

SPEAKER_09

See you running towards the sun. I come to start too. A new management in conjunction with one less enterprise proudly presents the UK on a class every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Moving on the stroke of the floor. See queens on her cheeks. Yeah, she looks unreal. I done seen her around here for months. I know it was her. She looks so lost. Yeah, she looks so lost. Yeah, she looks unreal. Says I could only tell you this. I don't know what the hell had me. I can't only show what's in me. Yeah, baby, could you pull me out? Yeah, could you stay in dance with me? Yeah, I don't wanna ever leave. I know we hide from it.

unknown

Yeah, I don't wanna let go.

SPEAKER_09

She said she saw her except the boy Up with another color to a knit stun. It really tripped her up. She says I'm not in her mind till the sunrise. Says I could only tell you that I don't know what the hell I mean. I can't only wish I would tell me Yes, baby, could you pull me up? Yeah, could you stay in place with me? Yeah, I don't want to have a problem again.

unknown

We had it from the game.

SPEAKER_01

Off our latest album MBU as a desire with all the nightclubby on that tune. That's called Get Go! She's gonna be touring starting late summer, she's gonna be hard to hear the market in DC on August 29th, Harlow Park. Not to be confused with Harlow Guthrie. He's already confused me a couple times this evening. Before that, we heard Lana del Rey. And if there was anybody who was ever meant to sing a James Bond theme song, it's Lana del Rey. The song she singing is First Light, and it's not for a James Bond movie. It is, however, for a James Bond video game called 007 First Light. And on that excellent song, she worked with David Arnold, who's a five-time soundtrack composer for James Bond movies. We started out with Windsor from Santa Cruz, California, via LA, the song Better Left Unsaid. Listening to the Ready Kill the What Hour, we're going to take it to the top of the hour now with a band out of Boston. They're uh a jam band. You can call them Reggae, you can call them Hippie, you can call them anything you want. Uh, but they are called Ripe. The name of the song is Play the Game.

SPEAKER_09

Twenty five hundred. That's a matter.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm not sure what you classify that band as. They're out of Boston. They've been around for a while. They are headlining a bunch of festivals this summer. And Portsmouth, Rhode Island, June 13th and 14th for the Ragged Island Festival, alongside Black Uhuru and Third World. So, playing with those reggae bands. Yeah, even though that particular song did not sound like reggae. They're making it as close as Lewis, Delaware on August 27th for the Rockin' the Docks concert series. But you know what? The fun one is October 11th in Darlington, Maryland at the Ramble Festival. So get your VW Microbus or your Subaru out, pitch a tent, because that seems to be what people do for that festival. It's uh at Camp Ramblewood off Route 1 near the Susquehanna River. And with that, it's time to unplug the Ready Kilowatt Hour. If you have camping on your agenda this weekend or not, uh we're gonna be driving up to New England tomorrow, not for camping, but to see family. Anyway, uh you can stream our old shows on readykradio.busroute.com. We are back next Thursday, 9 o'clock. Till next time, Ready K Kilowatt, your rock and roll servant. Stay well, stay safe. Please don't kill anyone.
